Anyone who has visited Disneyland in Anaheim will tell you that there are tons of restaurants and eateries inside the park where visitors can have a delicious meal. Just like other things at the popular theme park in Anaheim, the food served by these restaurants and eateries are pricey.
However, there are still some restaurants where visitors can have a lip-smacking meal at an affordable price. The Golden Horseshoe Restaurant, which is situated at store number 133 in the frontier village section of Disneyland, is one of such places where visitors can have fun while filling their stomach with some mouth-watering and appetizing dishes at a pocket-friendly price.
The Golden Horseshoe Restaurant is one of the few original buildings that have seen it all in the park. This restaurant dates back to the opening day in 1955. The Golden Horseshoe Restaurant is one Walt Disney favorite hangout spots in the park. In fact, the 30th marriage anniversary of Walt Disney and his wife, Lillian, was commemorated in the Golden Horseshoe Restaurant with the debut of the Golden Horseshoe Revue Show.
In addition, Walt Disney reserved a private box – which has now been converted to a public box— in the Golden Horseshoe Restaurant in order for him to watch performances of the Golden Horseshoe Revue any time he felt like watching the show. The Golden Horseshoe Revue made its way into the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest running live stage shows with over 50,000 performances.
The Golden Horseshoe Restaurant is an exhibition of western architecture and flair. Of course, nothing else except an architectural masterpiece should be expected from a building designed and decorated by Disney legend Harper Goff. The interior design of the Golden Horseshoe Restaurant is similar with the set design used in the movie Calamity Jane. The interior decoration of the restaurant consists of wall mounted long horns – selected by Walt Disney himself – 1850s style chandelier, and polished brass banisters.
Once you are in the park and you feel the urge to eat something, you can go into the Golden Horseshoe Restaurant to fill your stomach with the delicious delicacies served at the restaurant. Some of the delicacies serve at the here includes fish and chips, chili cheese fries, chili in a bread bowl spice with western twang, chicken breast nugget served with either a tasty dipping sauce or crispy chicken garnished with mixed green salad. Visitors can also enjoy cool sundae such as mint chocolate chip, strawberry, hot fudge with chocolate chip cookies, and yummy ice cream.
Visitors will definitely have a great time at the Golden Horseshoe Restaurant’s bar. They can enjoy their favorite drink at the bar while watching entertaining live performances such as Billy Hill and the Hillbillies performed by the Bluegrass Foursome and other live shows.
