The Disney Junior Live On Stage In CA Adventure

Bring the little ones for this energetic theater-style show featuring magical puppets and the Disney crew. Anyone who loves whimsical stage shows with get-up-and-dance songs, engaging story lines and exciting escapades will love the array of live performances that rotate through the Animation Courtyard Theater. It is based on the Disney Channel hit television series, Disney Junior TV.

Kids who love Mickey’s Clubhouse, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Sophia the First, and Doc McStuffins are sure to be enthralled as all characters come to life in puppet-form. The host, a real human, is a crowd-pleaser and has little problem getting all the kids and most of the parents to laugh and interact with the show. Shows normally run several times daily, however, it is wise to check the Disney schedule for current show times since they are subject to change. Look for discount values and visit this attraction more than once, as each showing is a bit different.

Newly added characters from the popular Doc McStuffins and Sofia the First television series are animated by skillful puppeteers using rod puppetry from their position beneath the stage. Puppets are the size of small children, making them even more fascinating to the younger set of visitors who are used to seeing adult-sized characters in costumes.

Recently reopened with a refreshed production, this in-park destination show has sparkling dialogue for the preschool set, but they even manage to slip in some witticisms that will make parents laugh as well. The show lasts for 23 minutes and it’s smart to visit the public restrooms located just outside the theater since there are no facilities once you enter the building.

Besides all the singing and dancing, children love the story lines, which manage to include teachable moments about cooperation, the best gifts are friendships, and problem solving. Besides all of this, there are moments when confetti, bubbles and gold paper coins fall from the ceiling sending all the children in a frenzy of euphoria. Other moments, kids and babies alike are silent as they sit fixated on the merriment of their favorite idols from TV.

The seating is perfectly designed, as one would expect, with cushioned floor pads on the large central seating area. Children can freely jump up and down, sing and dance along with their parents while having a full view of the stage. However, for those who would rather sit in more conventional seating, comfortable benches encircle the perimeter of the room. From the bench seating, adults may glimpse the tops of the puppeteer’s heads as they perform their magic.
